This Privacy Policy explains our methods for collecting, using and sharing data that we process to provide our services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through our services.
When we refer to "DeepPulse" ("we", "our" or "us"), we mean the company Contexon, which acts as the controller and processor for the DeepPulse product.

Use of the data processing

DeepPulse collects and processes the following information about the website and your interactions with DeepPulse. We use this information to operate, maintain and provide the features and functionality of the Service.

Account Information

If you create an account for yourself or on behalf of our customer (e.g. your employer), we process company information such as name and industry, your email address, username and information about roles and permissions. + Plan
If you are invited to use DeepPulse as part of a company account (also known as a team or company account), an administrator of your company account will provide us with an e-mail address, the company account affiliation and the rights level to set up your account. A user name is also saved when you register.

Usage information

The information collected about the use of our service includes The page views, the number of PDF reports downloaded, information on the agents created and deleted and the comparisons created or deleted. For the agents and comparisons, we keep the history of their creation and content, changes and their deletion.
We collect and use usage data to provide and improve the DeepPulse service and to detect and protect against unauthorized and fraudulent activities in our services. The data is transmitted on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract).

Payment processing

When you subscribe, you provide DeepPulse (or the payment processing provider) with billing data such as payment information and a billing address.
For payment processing we use a service of Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (SPEL) (hereinafter referred to as "stripe"). The data protection provisions of stripe can be accessed here.
The purpose of the transfer is the processing of online payments, the calculation of sales tax, the creation and processing of invoices. The transmission of your data to stripe is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract). You have the option of withdrawing your consent to data processing at any time. We will delete your data as soon as there are no tax, commercial or other statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
Making contact and arranging appointments

Personal data is collected when you contact us and/or make an appointment with us (e.g. via contact form, email or appointment booking).
Which data is collected when using a contact form or booking an appointment can be seen from the respective form. This data is processed for the purpose of responding to your request or for contacting you and the associated administration.

The stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent, if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. We are a Berlin-based startup, this privacy policy is based on EU regulations and laws. We refer to the German implementation of the EU regulations on data protection: the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Data protection in Germany is comprehensive and aims to ensure that only data that is necessary to use a product or to which explicit consent has been given may be collected. With this policy we also address the CCPA regulations regarding the data collection of Californian residents and households.
We do not sell any data and only collect it for the purpose of ensuring that the app works as well as possible. You can receive information about the stored data about you and how it was used and shared. You can delete all data collected and stored by deleting your account or send us an email and we delete the data and your account.

Use of the data processing

Registration
Registration or login is required to use our online services. To register, you only need to provide your e-mail address and a password. Other details such as your name are voluntary. If you log in via Sign-In with Apple or Facebook Sign-In, the name and e-mail address you provide will be transmitted to us.
On the one hand, this is done for secure identification to prevent unauthorized access to data and to detect, track and remedy cases of misuse.
On the other hand, registration provides the basis for the use of the personalized compilation of messages.
We will delete your data as soon as you delete your account with us and there are no tax, commercial or other statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
This is the only form of sensitive data collected under CCPA regulations and is bound to very strict security efforts - the data stored is encrypted at rest and in transit in accordance with industry standards. Your password cannot be viewed nor decrypted by us.
Profile creation
In order to use the app to its full extent, we provide you with personalized messages and an area where you can view your saved and sent articles. You can also carry out searches in the app. We show you your saved and previously performed searches, which you can delete at any time in the same view.
The following activity data is collected:

Contact form
If you use the contact form offered in the app, we require a valid/valid e-mail address from you as well as a declaration of consent to use this e-mail address to contact you. You can also enter your name so that we can contact you. Information that reaches us in this way will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties.
Further data is collected about the phone model used (model, screen size, system version) and app settings (app version, language) in order to reproduce and rectify reported errors.
The data is not stored, but sent to us once by email and used exclusively for the purposes described.
